Golden Week in China

The Chinese National Day is celebrated on Friday, 1st October 2021 to commemorate the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Therefore, the Chinese factories are closing down for the following “Golden Week” until Thursday, 7th October. During this period, many airline companies, railway operators, and shipping companies choose to cancel most departures.

Book your transport well in advance
Planning your transportation around holidays such as Golden Week is very important as closures and peak season have a major impact on accessibility. This year, the covid-19 outbreak also affects the supply chain from Asia and China.

To secure your supply chain, we strongly recommend that you reserve your ocean shipments at least 3-4 weeks in advance and your air and rail shipments from China as early as possible.
